Is that even a word — “salsaed”?
I’ve always thought about taking lessons. I can imitate some of the moves, but i wanted to get the official rundown. So I went to a Cuban spot for my first salsa lesson. It was a lot of fun! The instructor was funny in a quirky way, he taught us the basic steps then put them all together, he explained the whole concept of the man being the lead in salsa. What i learned was that if you are trying to dance with a man that has 2 left feet…it’s going to make it very difficult to stay on beat, he can throw the whole thing off, but if you dance with a man that knows what he’s doing…..he can lead you to the right moves.

Afterwards, we had dinner….I had Moduros (Sweet plaintain), Moros ( i think it’s called, black beans & white rice), skewered sugar cane shrimp and mojitos…Ok I’m making myself hungry As we were leaving they had the live band setting up, so I’ll have to come back and check them out another time.

If you haven’t tried salsa before, I highly recommend it…maybe take at least one lesson, but after that just watch someone that knows what their doing and go with the music.
